Safe recreation by the water: which beaches in Cherkasy have passed the inspection

In Cherkasy, you can safely relax by the water at three communal beaches. A special working group inspected the areas for public recreation near water bodies.

The chief of the Civil Protection Department of Cherkasy City Council, Yuriy Panchenko, provided information about which beaches are suitable for recreation.

"The results of the inspection have shown that three communal beaches in Cherkasy are ready for operation: Mytnytskiy, Kazbetskiy, and Sosnivski-1. Divers have surveyed and cleaned the bathing zones, removing foreign objects and cleaning the sand. The coastal area has been cleared of algae and plant debris. Grass has been cut, and trees have been pruned. The green plantings are being maintained, and the area is being cleared of household waste," said Yuriy Panchenko.

These areas were inspected by lifeguards, representatives from the Civil Protection Department, the Department of Housing and Communal Complex of Cherkasy City Council, the Inspection Department, and the State Consumer Service in Cherkasy Region.

Rescue posts are operational on these beaches, set up by the Cherkasy Municipal Emergency and Rescue Service. Three lifeguards are on duty at these posts from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily.

The communal beaches are equipped with umbrellas, pergolas, benches, trash cans, changing rooms, and sunbeds. Public toilets and shower facilities are also available.

Based on recent water quality assessments, the water at these communal beaches currently meets hygiene standards. However, if future assessments indicate deviations in water and sand quality, "No Swimming" signs will be posted.
