The Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office has reported suspicions against two residents of the Odessa region for organizing the illegal crossing of persons across the state border of Ukraine. This was announced by the press service of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
A manager of one of the crewing agencies, along with her friend, organized a mechanism for the illegal exit of men of draft age from Ukraine. For money, the individuals ensured the production of counterfeit Temporary Military Service Certificates and Medical Commission Certificates indicating their unsuitability for military service. This gave the individuals the right to leave Ukraine freely.
The offenders also assured their clients that they knew various methods of illegally crossing the border and had the ability to overcome any obstacles when exiting the country through their strong "connections." The wrongdoers provided detailed consultations on what to do during the border crossing, the route of crossing, and the individual's mental state.
The opportunity to illegally cross the border cost $4,700 USD per person.
The culprits were apprehended when they handed documents for departure to their "clients."
During searches of the wrongdoers, various documents were seized, including completed and stamped Temporary Military Service Certificates with Medical Commission Certificates, blank forms, stamps with impressions from various companies and medical institutions, draft notes, computer equipment, and funds.
At present, the suspects have been remanded in custody as a preventive measure with an alternative to bail.
