In Cherkasy region, a tractor driven by a drunk driver slid into a ditch: the driver died on the spot

On July 4th, around 14:00 in the village of Matusiv in the Zvenyhorod district of Cherkasy region, a road accident involving a drunk driver occurred. This information was reported by the Main Department of the National Police in Cherkasy region.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that a 45-year-old tractor driver, who was under the influence of alcohol, lost control and slid into a ditch. As a result, the tractor overturned, and the driver died on the spot from the injuries.

In connection with this incident, law enforcement authorities have initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety or operation of vehicles by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation is ongoing.

It is worth noting that in Cherkasy region, the head of the Zvenyhorod district court was previously justifying Russian armed aggression against Ukraine. She was apprehended by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in collaboration with the State Bureau of Investigations. SBU agents have recordings of her conversations where she openly expressed pro-Russian views and repeatedly voiced narratives favorable to the Kremlin about the war in Ukraine. Law enforcement authorities documented that the head of the district court supported the annexation of Crimea and Melitopol, as well as praised the introduction of "Russian legislation."
