In Cherkasy region, the fall of fragments of a downed rocket was recorded: there is damage

Igor Taburets, the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, has reported that in the region, there have been damages to private houses and the electrical grid due to debris from a rocket's fall.

He mentioned that during the night, air defense forces in a neighboring region were engaged in countering enemy targets. Debris from a downed cruise missile fell on the territory of their region, causing damage to the roofs of two houses and the electrical grid. Fortunately, there were no casualties, and the electrical grid was quickly repaired.

According to information from the Ukrainian Air Force, at around 1 a.m., the enemy launched missile strikes from the Black Sea. Cruise missiles were launched from surface and subsurface vessels. Several groups of missiles were detected, initially heading north, utilizing the local terrain and the Dnipro River's course, before suddenly changing course to the west.

As a result of anti-aircraft missile units and Air Force combat operations, only seven out of ten "Kalibr" cruise missiles were successfully intercepted and destroyed. Unfortunately, some of the missiles caused damage to civilian objects in the city of Lviv.

This situation highlights the ongoing conflict in the region, with regional defense forces responding to enemy actions, and the civilian population is facing potential threats from missile attacks.
