Russians shelled Dnipropetrovsk region overnight, resulting in casualties

Russian occupying forces attacked Dnipropetrovsk region with 'Shahed' drones on Friday, July 7, resulting in two fatalities. The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Sergiy Lysak, reported this incident.

It is known that during the shelling, a vehicle was damaged and caught fire. Fragments from one of the downed drones fell onto a car traveling on the road, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. According to the OVA leader, Ukrainian defenders from the Air Command 'East' successfully downed six enemy missiles that targeted Dnipropetrovsk region.

Additionally, the debris caused a grass fire. The State Emergency Service promptly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. One drone targeted a private enterprise in the Kryvyi Rih district, leading to a fire that spread over an area of more than 100 square kilometers, reaching a height of four meters. However, there were no casualties reported, and the firefighters managed to control the blaze.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of July 7, 2023, Russian occupying forces attacked from the southeast direction (Primorsk-Akhtarsk, Krasnodar Krai) using Iranian 'Shahed' combat drones. A total of 18 'Shahed' drones were launched, with 12 of them being successfully destroyed by the air defense systems.

Recalling the events from July 5 to 6, the aggressor targeted the Nikopol region three times. They shelled the city of Nikopol and the Chervonohryhorivka community with heavy artillery. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, but a private house, two outbuildings, and a power transmission line were damaged in the attacks.
