Two collaborators who leaked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be prosecuted in Cherkasy region.

Two Russian informants who leaked information and precise coordinates of the locations of Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the Donetsk region will face trial in Cherkasy region. This was announced by the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the prosecutor's office, two residents from the Donetsk region provided representatives of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" with information containing exact coordinates of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions between 2022 and 2023.

The information specifically pertained to air defense units and military equipment in one of the districts of the Donetsk region.

During the pre-trial investigation, site inspections were conducted based on the informants' coordinates. The actual location of Ukrainian positions was confirmed based on the information obtained by the enemy.

The provided coordinates were intended to assist the Russians in targeting and destroying Ukrainian military units.

One of the accused individuals has been remanded in custody without the right to bail, while the other is hiding in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region.

It is worth noting that the Security Service of Ukraine arrested a former militant of the terrorist organization "DPR" in Vinnytsia.
