Married a disabled woman 24 years his senior in order to travel abroad. The couple were exposed

A man recently married a woman who is twice his age and has a disability, and he attempted to leave the country. However, at the border, the scammers were caught. 
In Ukraine, there is an ongoing war, and it is the honorable duty of every man (and women if they wish) to defend the homeland by serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, there are rare cases where fear drives people to commit strange acts. One such case recently occurred at the "Starokozache" checkpoint in the Odessa region. Border guards from the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi detachment, together with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), discovered a man who entered into a fictitious marriage with a 56-year-old woman, and on the same day, he attempted to cross the border.

During the border control, law enforcement officers became suspicious of the couple's openness. The age difference between the "newlyweds" was significant, with the woman being over twenty years older than the man. Moreover, the date of their marriage coincided with the day of their "honeymoon" trip abroad. It turned out that the "spark" in the relationship between the couple only ignited for the purpose of the man crossing the border.

Law enforcement officers found out that the Ukrainian citizen had responded to an online announcement offering the opportunity to "unite hearts" with a disabled woman. The cost of this service was 8,000 hryvnias for the groom.

The man resided in one of the villages of the Yuzhne city community in the Odessa region, while the woman was from Odessa. The "lovers" registered their marriage in Odessa and immediately headed to the border. Additional remuneration was provided to the potential fugitive, and they even arranged a taxi to the checkpoint and provided a "caregiver" who was supposed to supervise everything.

However, these actions ended unfavorably for all participants in the illegal scheme as they were handed over to representatives of the National Police.
