The Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Phthisiopulmonology Center has received a new portable X-ray machine. The new device can be assembled into a small suitcase and weighs only 29 kilograms. This will allow radiologists to use it practically anywhere. This news was announced by the Department of Health and Rehabilitation of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration.
Alexander Sluzhivyy, the head of the regional clinical phthisiopulmonology center, stated that this machine can be deployed in rural areas or even in the field, enabling them to conduct around 100 examinations per day.
Additionally, the center is restoring the operation of its mobile fluoroscopy bus, which is currently undergoing testing after repairs. Alexander Sluzhivyy clarified that the acquisition of the new X-ray machine and the repair of the bus were made possible through funding from international partners.
This was emphasized by Olha Zadorozhna, the director of the Department of Health and Rehabilitation of the Vinnytsia RSA. She emphasized that all medical institutions should possess the skills to collaborate with international partners, write grants, and utilize all available opportunities.
It is worth noting that 56 volunteer medics are ready to travel from Vinnytsia to assist their colleagues in the affected areas of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
Previously, we reported on a heart surgery performed on a prematurely born baby in Odessa. Despite challenging circumstances, medical professionals urgently set up an operating room within the conditions of the neonatal intensive care unit. The baby underwent successful surgery, and their condition has stabilized, but there are still many challenges on the path to full recovery for the little one.
