In the Odessa region, a breakdown lorry collided with a locomotive at a level crossing. People were killed.

This information was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The police are investigating the circumstances of the road accident in Odessa region.
The accident occurred on the evening of July 14th, around 11 o'clock, at a railway crossing in the village of Kulevcha.

Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that the 55-year-old operator of the shunting locomotive collided with a tow truck carrying a "Lexus" car, when the 67-year-old driver of the tow truck attempted to cross the railway crossing against the red traffic signal.

According to the acting chief of Police Department No. 1 of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District Police Department, Andriy Mashchenko, information has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 286 (violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles by a person driving a vehicle that resulted in the death of a victim or caused serious bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

A series of expert examinations have been appointed, and the investigation is ongoing.
