In Vinnytsia, a man beat a fellow villager to death, and then committed suicide

In one of the villages within the Lipovetska territorial community in Vinnytsia region, local residents discovered the body of a man with signs of violent death. The police in Vinnytsia region received this report on July 16. Law enforcement officers have determined that a local resident is involved in causing severe bodily harm to the victim.

"According to preliminary information, a conflict arose between the two men due to jealousy. The 41-year-old man beat his 38-year-old acquaintance, leaving him at the crime scene and leaving. Some time later, the perpetrator returned to the scene and found that the victim had died. The man returned home and committed suicide by hanging," the statement said. The bodies have been sent for forensic examination to determine the final cause of death.

The police are investigating the circumstances of the men's deaths and conducting a pre-trial investigation into the criminal case initiated under Part 2 of Article 121 (Intentional infliction of serious bodily harm resulting in the death of the victim) and Part 1 of Article 115 (Intentional homicide) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine with the annotation of "suicide."

It's worth noting that on May 27, 2023, in the territory of the Haysyn territorial community in Vinnytsia region, a crime occurred. During a domestic conflict, a 37-year-old woman struck her 54-year-old acquaintance, which led to the man's death.
