The Military Lyceum in Poltava has started enrolling students for the first time.

From July 17, the Poltava Lyceum with enhanced military-physical training is accepting applications from students who have completed 9th grade and wish to study military affairs.

This was announced on July 18 by the Poltava Regional Territorial Recruitment Center.

"This year, the Poltava Lyceum with enhanced military-physical training, under the auspices of the Poltava Regional Council, is conducting the first admission of young boys and girls for studies. Admission is open to students who have completed 9th grade," according to the announcement.

The institution was established on the basis of the Poltava Art Lyceum named after Sofiya Rusova. It will prepare candidates for further enrollment in higher education institutions specializing in security and defense. Preference will be given to orphans, children of deceased military personnel from the Poltava region, and internally displaced persons who wish to study military affairs.

The establishment of the new military lyceum also aims to involve military personnel and war veterans. This year, the lyceum is conducting the first admission of young boys and girls who have completed 9th grade.

The acceptance of documents will take place from July 17 to July 28. Admission to the institution will be based on competition results from entrance examinations. The admissions committee will also consider the results of medical examinations and psychological assessments.
