Energy-efficient Turkish lifts will be in use in Vinnytsia

As part of the first free major overhaul, three buildings in Vinnytsia will have their old elevators replaced with new ones manufactured in Turkey, as the old ones have exceeded their service life. This was announced by the Vinnytsia City Council.

"All the work will be fully funded by the city budget," the statement said.

The installation of completely new Turkish elevators is a pilot project.

"We want to see how they perform in operation and maintenance, and then draw conclusions," says Vitaliy Misetskyi, the director of the housing department. "To be frank, most of the elevators currently operating in Vinnytsia's high-rise buildings are old lifts from Belarusian production. Many of them have already exceeded their warranty service life, so we are conducting major repairs to extend their lifespan. After the repairs, the elevators will beVinnytsia able to serve for at least 12 more years. Therefore, we are looking for a rational and modern alternative."

Turkish elevators are at least 20% more energy-efficient compared to the majority of the elevators in the city. Additionally, they have improved sound insulation. The warranty period for the new elevators, in case of a full replacement of the equipment, is 25 years from the installation date.

The dismantling of old elevators has already started, and the new lifts will be installed soon. The completion of the works is planned for the end of August.

In total, this year, 22 elevators in Vinnytsia are scheduled for major repairs.
