On the night of July 20, Russian occupiers struck the city of Mykolaiv. As a result, multi-story buildings in the city center, garages, and other civilian infrastructure objects suffered damage. Adults and children were injured. Later, it became known that two residents of the city were killed.
The Mykolaiv regional police reported that first, they retrieved the body of a man from under the rubble, and later, they found the body of a woman. Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych subsequently announced that a married couple had been killed.
Investigators, criminalists, rescuers, representatives of the prosecutor's office, and the Security Service of Ukraine are working at the scene of these incidents. Law enforcement agencies are documenting every fact of Russian terror against the civilian population of Ukraine. Criminal proceedings have been initiated based on all the collected materials.
Vitaliy Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, reported that 18 people were injured as a result of the attack, nine of whom were hospitalized in medical facilities, and two individuals were rescued from under the debris. Among the wounded, five were children.
It's worth noting that during the night, the enemy launched another strike on Odesa using rockets and strike drones. A young man born in 2002, who served as a guard of a civilian building, was killed as a result of the attack. Eight people were injured, including three employees of the State Emergency Service. Three of the injured were hospitalized. People suffered shrapnel wounds and poisoning from fire products.
