SSU detains Ukrzaliznytsia employee preparing missile attack on logistics in Dnipro region

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has detained an employee of Ukrzaliznytsia who was preparing a missile strike on logistics routes in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on behalf of Russia. The SSU reported this through their press service.

At the beginning of 2023, the Russian military recruited the woman to cooperate with them. Under the guidance of her Russian handler, she collected intelligence on the locations of security and defense forces in the regional center.

This information was needed by the Russians to carry out a precise missile strike on strategically important transportation infrastructure in Ukraine.

The collaborator was timely exposed and arrested at her place of residence. According to the investigation, she had direct communication with a Russian military officer who was located in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk Oblast.

The woman came into the focus of Russian special services due to her activity in Russian social media groups, where she made offers to assist the occupying forces.

During the search at her place of residence, a mobile phone that she used for communication with the Russian military officer was found.

The collaborator has been informed of the charges, and she is currently in custody. She faces up to eight years of imprisonment.
