Rest and recuperation for underprivileged children from Cherkasy are ongoing in the Carpathian Mountains, funded by the city's budget. In the clinical sanatorium "Karpaty," 780 children have already undergone rehabilitation by mid-summer, and currently, 205 young residents of Cherkasy are staying there. This information was provided by the Cherkasy City Council.

According to the children, each day of their stay is filled with various activities. They go on excursions in the Carpathians, engage in sports and games, dance, sing, and participate in quests. They create coats of arms for their teams and explore the valleys in search of adventures. These children also make postcards for Ukrainian servicemen, which contribute to their ongoing rest and recovery.

The program's organizer, Marina Harkava, expressed her gratitude to the Mayor of Cherkasy, Anatoliy Bondarenko, and the city council for making it possible to provide such an opportunity to more children compared to the previous year. Social policy department specialists maintain continuous contact with the camp staff, parents, and children. Recently, they conducted an inspection to ensure the children's living conditions and food were satisfactory, and the feedback has been positive.

This year, the Cherkasy City Council allocated funds from the municipal budget to purchase 1,982 vouchers for the children's recuperation. The campaign runs from May 16th to October 11th, and ten groups of children will spend 14 days each in the Carpathians during this period.

In the previous year, 1,050 underprivileged children from Cherkasy had the opportunity to rest and recover in the Carpathians with funding from the city's budget.
