Poltava region plans to open a facility for rehabilitation of military and their families

Rehabilitation and social adaptation for our military personnel are necessary processes in times of war. The Mirgorod community will be the first in Poltava region and Ukraine as a whole to pilot a new social service within the framework of the regional program. This was announced by the head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, Dmytro Lunin.

During a recent visit to Mirgorod, Dmytro Lunin, the head of the Poltava Regional Council, Oleksandr Bilenky, and Ukrainian Member of Parliament, Oleg Kulinich, inspected one of the sanatorium-resort facilities where they plan to restore the emotional well-being of disabled military personnel and their families. This process will be conducted under the supervision of a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social educators, psychiatrists, and massage therapists.

"We aim to bring such services closer to people who need them. Three communities - Mirgorod, Zinkiv, and Reshetylivka - have signed a memorandum of cooperation. I am convinced that this will mark the beginning of effective exchange of experience and the development of social protection services for our soldiers," emphasized Dmytro Lunin.

It is worth noting that in Poltava, a project for a comprehensive regional program of social protection, rehabilitation, and integration of defenders of Ukraine has been developed. The program will cover six main directions, one of which is the rehabilitation of disabled veterans and their families in sanatorium-resort facilities in Poltava for a duration of 10 days, along with individual support for families.
