In Cherkasy, an alley of musician lanterns is being created along the pedestrian zone near Mykola Lysenko Music School No. 1 on Baidy Vyshnevetskoho Street. This information was reported on the Cherkasy City Council's website.
The project will cost 1.3 million budgetary funds. The sidewalk pavement near the school has already been renovated, and they will continue to install wrought iron lanterns. Additionally, wrought iron figures of a saxophonist, trumpeter, double bassist, and violinist (with a height of three meters) will be installed here, along with a 2.5-meter-tall harp. A bench with musical embellishments will be placed in front of the school. All lanterns are made of galvanized steel according to an individual design.
The idea of creating an alley of musicians in Cherkasy belongs to the director of the music school, Yulia Temchenko. She submitted the initiative for participation in the public budget. Her initiative was supported by hundreds of Cherkasy residents through their votes.
"The presence of such an art object will distract our children from the war, which is important for them. They are already very emotionally responsive to changes near the school," said Temchenko.
According to the Prozorro procurement website, 1,380,000 hryvnias will be spent from the budget for creating this composition. The work is expected to be completed by the end of the year, and the contractor for the project will be the SkyLight Service company. The procurement was carried out without the use of an electronic system, and the first contracts for the work were awarded in April of this year.
