The Mayor of Dnipro, Boris Filatov, has announced that he has declined all of his bonuses and allowances that were granted to him after February 24, 2022. These funds have been returned to the local community budget.

He has also called on the Cabinet of Ministers, members of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament), and the heads of state-owned corporations, particularly the top management of "Ukrzaliznytsia" (Ukrainian Railways) and "Naftogaz," as well as others, to follow suit and contribute their earnings directly to support the Ukrainian armed forces.

Furthermore, Filatov has urged the government and parliament to create a clear and balanced mechanism that would allow municipalities to use the majority of their received personal income tax (PIT) revenues for two specific purposes: supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces and enhancing energy efficiency. This, he believes, would contribute to the country's defense capabilities.

He also called on the heads of state institutions, particularly law enforcement agencies with substantial budgets, to consider how their resources could be used to bolster the country's defense.

Filatov's actions and statements are in response to the ongoing conflict and the need for additional resources to support Ukraine's defense efforts.
