On the night of July 27th, Russian occupying forces conducted seven shelling attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The enemy fired nearly thirty heavy artillery shells at the cities of Nikopol, Pokrovske, and Chervonohryhorivka communities. This information was reported by the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
As a result of the Russian shelling, educational institutions, an administrative building, a post office, a church, and a telecommunication company were damaged. Rescue teams continue to inspect the area to assess the extent of the damages caused by the enemy.
Furthermore, the enemy attacked the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast using a drone. The drone was shot down by fighters from the East Volunteer Corps. The target shot down was likely an "Orlan" strike drone.
Earlier, during the night, Russian occupiers fired "Kalibr" missiles at Odesa Oblast, resulting in the death of a civilian guard and damage to a cargo terminal at the port, as well as the destruction of the security building and two vehicles.
On July 26th, a Russian missile was shot down over Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, causing a fire that was extinguished by local rescuers. During this attack on Ukraine, air defense forces shot down over 30 enemy missiles.
In addition, two Russian "Kalibr" missiles were shot down in the sky over Vinnytsia Oblast. It is noted that the missile launches were likely carried out from a Russian submarine. The missiles entered Ukrainian airspace from the southeast direction, changing their course during the flight.
