Former Odessa military officer Yevhen Borysov has been informed of suspicion. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

Borysov was informed of suspicion for the facts of unlawful enrichment, failure to report for duty, and evasion of military service.

According to the investigation, during the full-scale war, the Borysov family, at his direction, purchased premium-class cars and real estate in Spain for a total amount of over 151 million UAH. Meanwhile, the official joint income of the family does not cover these expenses.

In early December 2022, the suspect, while being a military serviceperson responsible for mobilization in the region, did not appear for military service for more than two weeks without valid reasons after being discharged from the military hospital.

In the second half of December 2022, while lacking the overseas treatment determined for him by the Ministry of Health, Borysov left the country by deception. Together with family members, he stayed in the Republic of Moldova, Turkey, the Seychelles, and Spain for almost a month.

Currently, the issue of declaring Borysov wanted is being resolved, and the question of applying a pretrial detention measure to him is under consideration.
