In the Kryvyi Rih district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, the construction of a new section of the pipeline and the launch of a new pumping station to supply water to the residents of Kryvyi Rih have been completed. This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak.

According to him, the works were carried out in the Hrushivska community. The water supply will be restored to twenty settlements, benefiting around 40,000 people.

"To achieve this, a new pipeline of almost three kilometers was laid. Electricity was connected, and two pumping units were installed. The pipeline connected to them was extended by 15 meters to extract water as deep as possible. To achieve this, they used a swamp excavator, a 12-ton floating excavator," the official wrote.

The water supply is expected to be available in people's homes within a few days. This time is needed for the filling of the main networks and water purification, as stated by the head of the regional council, Mykola Lukashuk.

According to him, the first section of the water supply system is planned to be launched by the end of August. The Minister of Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov, has set the task of launching the first section of the water supply system by the end of August, which will provide water to the residents of Kryvyi Rih and neighboring communities.

In total, three sections of the main water supply system with a length of almost 150 kilometers are being built to restore the water supply. The project is allocated 12.6 billion hryvnias from the state budget.

In addition, during the last session of the regional council, deputies voted to allocate 100 million hryvnias for the Kryvyi Rih community. These funds are intended for the implementation of a separate infrastructure project to provide people with water supply.
