An employee of the Myrhorod Territorial Center for Social Services and Social Protection, who is suspected of creating certificates that helped individuals evade military conscription, has been taken into custody. This action was taken on August 2nd.
According to the investigation, the suspect produced documents for $6,000, which allowed individuals to freely cross the Ukrainian border. The employee was allegedly involved in a conspiracy with other employees of the Myrhorod and Lubny Territorial Centers for Social Services and Social Protection. They worked together to find clients and prepare the necessary documents. During searches, investigators found counterfeit certificates and cash at the suspect's home and workplace. According to the police spokesperson for Poltava Region, Yuriy Sulayev, they discovered over $35,000 in cash and over 150,000 hryvnias.
The case is being investigated under Article 332, Part 3, of the Ukrainian Criminal Code, which pertains to "Illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine committed by an organized group or for selfish motives." The penalty for this offense is from 7 to 9 years of imprisonment.
