In Vinnytsia Oblast, as part of the pilot project initiated by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, interviews have begun to select veterans' assistants. There were 24 candidates who applied for these positions.

Natalia Zabolotna, the first deputy head of the Vinnytsia Oblast Veterans' Administration, announced this during a briefing.

In total, the pilot project will involve 100 veterans' assistants who will support combat participants, their family members, and relatives of fallen defenders. The main goal of the project is to provide assistance to veterans in the process of adapting to civilian life.

Among the requirements for candidates, Natalia Zabolotna mentioned that the assistants should have knowledge of the normative and legal framework, possess psychological skills, and be familiar with the structures that provide social services and benefits for veterans.

Successful candidates are guaranteed a salary based on the recommendations of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, approximately 18,000 hryvnias per month. Their responsibilities will include providing up to 10 services to veterans daily.

Applications to participate in the selection can be submitted until August 11. To do this, applicants should submit their application through the E-Veteran portal.

After the selection, chosen candidates will undergo professional training at the Veterans Development Centers.

The pilot project will be implemented in six communities in Vinnytsia Oblast: Vinnytsia, Khmilnyk, Zhmerynka, Tulchyn, Haisyn, and Mohyliv-Podilskyi. It is worth mentioning that the Ministry plans to expand this project to other regions of Ukraine, including Lviv Oblast, Mykolaiv Oblast, and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

It is expected that after the end of the war in Ukraine, the number of veterans will reach approximately 3 million people.
