On the afternoon of August 3, the Russian army shelled Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, targeting the territory of a municipal enterprise. This was reported by the head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak. There were no casualties reported.
What is known about the shelling in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast:
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast has experienced over 1700 shelling incidents from the Russian army. As a result of these attacks, 238 civilians were killed, and 875 were wounded. Among the wounded, there were 93 children, 19 of whom lost their lives, according to Suspilne statistics.
The most frequently shelled areas in the region are the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts.
During the night of August 3, Russian forces struck two districts in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast - Nikopol and Synelnykove. In Nikopol, the Chervonohryhorivska community was targeted twice with heavy artillery. Four private houses, networks of a transportation company, and power transmission lines were damaged, as well as one of the schools where windows were shattered, and walls were partially destroyed. In the Synelnykove district, an educational institution in the Pokrovska community was hit, resulting in partial destruction.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the 24 hours, the Russian Federation launched another aviation strike using Iranian UAVs "Shahed-136/131" against Ukraine. All 15 enemy "Shaheds" were destroyed with the involvement of the Air Force and in coordination with the Air Defense components of other Defense Forces. Additionally, the enemy conducted 1 missile strike, 47 aviation attacks, and 23 shelling incidents with reactive systems on the positions of our troops and residential areas. Unfortunately, there were civilian casualties.
The probability of missile and aviation strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.
