Four residents of Poltava and Zakarpattia have been exposed and informed of suspicion in connection with the illegal transfer of conscripted servicemen across the state border of Ukraine. This information was reported by the press service of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office.

They are charged with organizing the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine and guiding such actions, committed by a group of individuals for profit (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the suspects organized a scheme for the illegal crossing of the state border for conscripted citizens of Ukraine. The individuals from Poltava located men who intended to travel to EU countries and sent them to Zakarpattia. Upon arrival, the participants in the crime met the arrivals and facilitated the border crossing outside the official checkpoint.

The cost of such "services" was nearly $5,000 USD per person.

Law enforcement officers stopped the unlawful actions of individuals during the attempt to cross the border by six residents of Poltava, Lviv, Kharkiv, and other regions. Preliminarily, the men handed over cash in foreign currency equivalent to more than 1 million UAH to the group members.
