At the Mogyliv-Podilskyi border checkpoint, a 33-year-old Azerbaijani citizen attempted to ensure an unhindered border crossing. In order to expedite the verification process and avoid undergoing an interview regarding the purpose of his arrival in Ukraine, the man offered an unlawful reward of $300 US dollars to the border guard.
According to a post on the Mogyliv-Podilskyi Border Unit's Facebook page, "The offered amount did indeed allow the briber to enter Ukraine, but not via the planned route." The border guards informed representatives of the National Police about the discovery of elements of a crime under Part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to "Offer, promise, or provision of undue advantage to a public official." The foreigner was detained, and he left the checkpoint under the supervision of police officers.
These actions were carried out under the operational support of the Internal and Own Security Department of the Mogyliv-Podilskyi Border Unit of the Southern Border Guard Unit, as well as under the procedural guidance of the Vinnytsia Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sphere of the Southern Region.
As a reminder, cybersecurity experts of the Security Service of Ukraine apprehended a Russian agent in Odessa who was working for the FSB. For regular monetary 'compensation' from the occupiers, their accomplice collected intelligence about the locations of Defense Forces stationed within the regional center. Additionally, after hostile aerial attacks on the city, she would survey the affected streets and document the consequences of the attacks.
