A special vehicle for the evacuation of animals has appeared in the Dnipro

Rescue workers in Dnipro received transport for the evacuation of animals and a fire truck on August 10th. This special transport with equipment was provided by the German sister city of Cologne, with which Dnipro has a strong partnership.

The vehicle will be used by the city's animal welfare service to transport animals and will also be valuable to the canine unit for transporting search and rescue dogs that assist in finding people in disaster scenarios. Additionally, the vehicles are equipped with technical tools, including concrete saws, firefighting equipment, generators, and more.

Dnipro's animal shelter, named "Druh" (Friend), currently houses nearly 500 displaced animals. Most of these dogs were evacuated from various regions, including Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhia, and many of them have injuries and disabilities. The shelter provides care for these animals during challenging times.

It's worth noting that the German sister city, Cologne, provided this support to Dnipro during the ongoing conflict, demonstrating international solidarity in times of crisis.
