Rehabilitation centers are planned to be created in Vinnytsia

In Vinnytsia region, work continues on the creation of rehabilitation units at the premises of cluster healthcare facilities. The progress of the work was discussed by the press service of Vinnytsia Regional State Administration.

The department noted that the heads of medical institutions provided updates on the development of stationary rehabilitation services at the premises of cluster medical facilities in the region.

"The main goal of the project is to develop a system of providing rehabilitation services that would ensure quality services to everyone in need, regardless of whether they live in the regional center or in a remote community," the press service of Vinnytsia Regional State Administration said.

During the meeting, Natalia Zabolotna, the First Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration, emphasized that in Vinnytsia, 14 medical facilities provide stationary rehabilitation services, with 4 of them being super-cluster facilities and one being a cluster facility.

Furthermore, Olga Zadorozhna, the Director of the Department of Health and Rehabilitation at the Regional State Administration, mentioned that during a sectoral meeting, the Minister of Health of Ukraine, Viktor Lyashko, announced the Strategy for the Development of Rehabilitation Centers in medical institutions. It should start with opening rehabilitation units in cluster and super-cluster facilities with a minimum of 30 beds.

As a reference, medical rehabilitation services are financed by the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) under nine medical guarantees packages. In the first seven months of 2023 alone, rehabilitation packages cost a total of 146 million hryvnias.
