In Poltava, they plan to organize the training of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) operators based on higher education institutions. Dmytro Lunin, the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, shared this information.

"Drones have become reliable assistants not only for our military but also integrate into other spheres of life. In Poltava, we plan to organize training for UAV operators based on educational institutions. We discussed this issue during a meeting with representatives of higher education institutions," noted Dmytro Lunin. "During the dialogue, we discussed the need for UAV operators in the agro-industrial, construction, oil and gas sectors, and proposals for higher education institutions to become training grounds."

Additionally, during the meeting, they discussed involving veterans. Veterans could share their experience in mastering UAVs. This initiative to organize such training is an opportunity for anyone interested to acquire a new profession.

It's worth mentioning that at the beginning of the war, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were equipped with civilian drones and UAVs of the "wing" class for aerial reconnaissance and target destruction. However, in the early days, Ukrainian command faced a shortage of professional operators, and soldiers had to operate drones without proper training.

Currently, there are about 20 schools and training centers for UAV operators in Ukraine. These institutions may differ in formats or models of training drones, but all schools share one goal: to prevent casualties on the front line due to unqualified drone operation and a lack of knowledge of safety rules.
