On the night of Monday, May 8, 2023, Russian occupiers attacked the Odessa region. Enemy X-22 type missiles hit a warehouse of an enterprise and the coastline, causing fires.

According to the Odessa Regional State Administration, the enemy launched a missile strike on the region from strategic aircraft.

It is reported that the strikes caused fires. Currently, rescue services are working to extinguish them. There is no information about casualties at the moment, and the information is being clarified. Additionally, according to the Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, today the enemy attacked Kyiv region with 35 combat drones 'Shahed-136/131.' All thirty-five UAVs were destroyed.

Sergiy Bratchuk, the spokesperson for the Odessa Regional State Administration, clarified that the occupiers attacked the Odessa region around midnight from Tu-22m3 long-range bombers.

There were a total of eight missile launches from the area near Tarhankut Cape (occupied Crimea). Some of the missiles did not reach their targets.

Later, it was reported by the Odessa Regional State Administration that three people (warehouse workers) sustained minor injuries, and they received immediate medical assistance on-site without hospitalization. Sergiy Bratchuk also reported that one person, a security guard at the warehouse, was killed as a result of the enemy's strike on Odessa region on May 8.
