On July 18, a modular settlement for internally displaced persons is planned to be opened in Poltava, on the premises of the Regional Psychiatric Care Institution. This was announced by the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Lunin.
The regional administration received the documents for putting the modular settlement into operation on July 10, according to the regional leader.
It is worth noting that on January 4, 2023, it was announced that a modular settlement for internally displaced persons would be arranged in Poltava. The majority of the modular houses arrived as humanitarian aid from the International Solidarity Fund in Poland. A total of 240 modules were delivered, accommodating 500 internally displaced persons. The settlement will house registered individuals from the Poltava territorial community.
Currently, six modular houses will be installed on the premises of the Regional Psychiatric Care Institution, with 18 rooms in each house. Each room can accommodate up to 14 individuals.
Additionally, there are officially registered 186,000 internally displaced persons in the Poltava region.
