In Poltava, a modular settlement for internally displaced persons has been opened. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
The solemn opening was attended by the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Lunin, Members of Parliament, representatives of the Polish Embassy, the chairman of the Board of the International Solidarity Fund, Rafal Dzientolowski, the coordinator of the "Under Safe Roof" project, Tomasz Gzhib, and Deputy Prime Minister Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
The construction of the modular settlement was carried out by the International Solidarity Fund of Poland with financial support from the Government of the United Kingdom. The total number of modules is 240, providing accommodation for up to 300 people.
Currently, about a hundred resettled individuals from Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions are already living here.
According to the Poltava Regional Military Administration, there are currently over 80 people living in the modular settlement, including nine children, ten people with disabilities, and 27 elderly individuals.
The development of the modular settlement began on December 26, 2022. After the end of the war, the modular settlement will remain the property of the region.
