Yesterday, on May 29, an online meeting took place with the Deputy Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration (ORSA), Oleksiy Bruslyk, and representatives of the Israeli Coalition for Trauma Care. They discussed the establishment of a Resilience Center in the Poltava region.
The Government of Israel is ready to fund the creation of such centers throughout Ukraine. A similar institution is already operational in Kyiv, and work is ongoing to establish centers in the Kharkiv, Ternopil, and Odessa regions. Poltava and Mykolaiv regions also wish to join this initiative.
Max Goldenberg, the Director of International Projects for the Israel Trauma Coalition, shared the concept of establishing resilience centers, which are already operating in Israel.
"For over 15 years, resilience centers have been operational throughout the country, with 12 centers located in areas threatened by daily terrorism. The Resilience Center concept is about providing assistance to the population. Their work is not focused on a specific category of people but aims to provide psychological help to every citizen," explained Max Goldenberg.
Training with the Israeli Coalition for Trauma Care will continue for members of established groups, which will include professionals from various fields, including clinical psychologists, psychological service specialists, teachers, rescue workers, law enforcement officers, medical personnel, employees of local employment centers (CNAP), and others.
