New equipment, tools, and medical gear have been received by the Kirovohrad region's emergency medical service from Finland. The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad region reported this on their Facebook page.
"Finland has transferred several ambulances to Ukrainian rescuers, and one of these modern vehicles has arrived in the Kirovohrad region. Now, the specialists of the medical and sanitary part of the Special Purpose Emergency Rescue Team will have European-level emergency medical care based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter," the announcement stated.
Additionally, the rescuers received medical equipment, including a portable X-ray machine with a full set of accessories, a detector, and a laptop, as well as a radioprotective vest. All this equipment is packed in a special backpack for easy transport. This equipment will allow for on-site X-ray examinations of victims, enabling the assessment of the severity of injuries for making decisions regarding urgent medical assistance.
The medical team also received 25 unstocked medical backpacks, stretchers for transporting patients, and infusion pumps, which are used for the controlled administration of large volumes of fluids to patients for treatment or research purposes. In addition, a significant amount of rapidly consumable medical supplies such as syringes, gauze bandages, wipes, and medical gloves were provided. The humanitarian aid package also included automotive first aid kits, chest protectors, and two Ambu bags, which are handheld devices for artificial lung ventilation.
It's worth noting that a few weeks ago, an off-road vehicle was provided to the needs of the fighters of the 121st Territorial Defense Brigade in Kropyvnytskyi. It was acquired with the support of volunteers and funds collected among budget employees. This was reported by the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration.
