Recently, the second fire truck arrived in Vinnytsia from the German twin city of Karlsruhe. Vinnytsia's Mayor, Sergiy Morgunov, shared this news on his Telegram channel and Facebook.

"This is already the second fire truck from our friends in Germany. It is intended for first aid – a more mobile vehicle that can go where large vehicles cannot," wrote Sergiy Morgunov.

He also mentioned that according to the rescuers, this vehicle will be used for small fires, road accidents, and to rescue people.

The community leader expressed his gratitude to the German partners who continue to assist Vinnytsia in these challenging times.

"I'm thankful to our German twin city for continuing to help us," the message reads.

As a reminder, Vinnytsia's firefighters received the first fire truck from Karlsruhe as a gift last month during a visit by the Mayor of the German city, Frank Mentrup.

In April of this year, the Mayor of Vinnytsia announced that the city officially established a twin city relationship with Karlsruhe. The initiative to establish twinning relations with Vinnytsia was made by the German city nine months ago. Since then, Karlsruhe has been supporting Vinnytsia, providing tents for resilience points, generators, and other equipment.

Karlsruhe is a German city with a population of about 310,000 people. Currently, approximately 4,200 Ukrainians live in Karlsruhe. It's the fourth-largest Ukrainian diaspora community in terms of population, but not necessarily in terms of activity.
