A year ago, in Ukraine, due to the requests of many people for military and related training, Civilian Preparedness Centers (CPCs) began to be established. The first center was in Poltava. Ukrainian TV presenter and volunteer, Serhiy Prytula, shared this information.
"The initiative that started in Poltava, together with Oleksiy Serdyukov, has transformed into 37 centers across the country within a year," the message says.
The first public training started on July 23, 2022. The organizational team of the Poltava CPC consists of 19 individuals.
Today, training sessions on more than 35 topics are available in various centers, including basics of marksmanship, mobilization preparation, first aid, mine and explosive safety, radio communication, work with grenade launchers and anti-tank rocket launchers, and more.
The initiative that began in Poltava is now active in 17 regions. Within a year, over 20,000 Ukrainians have participated in the CPC training and acquired fundamental military knowledge.
"I am confident that CPCs will continue to develop and open in new communities, so that all interested individuals can undergo training and prepare to defend their homes and country against the encroachments of the country of vodka and filth, i.e., Russia. I express my gratitude to the teams of the Centers who made this project possible through their daily work," adds Prytula.
The project "Civilian Preparedness Center" organizes free training for locals and volunteers, teaching them how to navigate extreme and dangerous situations and adapt quickly when defending Ukraine in armed formations. The topics of the training are tailored to the requests of the people and include both theoretical and practical components.
To participate in the training, you can visit the website of the "Civilian Preparedness Center" or the Facebook pages of the respective centers. Choose the city, topic of interest, and register. During times of war, every civilian needs to acquire the skills necessary to live in new realities.
