On June 22, in the courtyard of the Poltava Local History Museum named after Vasyl Krychevsky, an author's lecture titled "Petliura and Culture" was held by Tina Peresunko, a guest from Kyiv and a researcher of "Shchedryk" history. She talked about how the prominent Ukrainian politician and Supreme Commander of the Ukrainian National Republic (UNR), Symon Petliura, had a deep appreciation for Ukrainian culture, how he used the song to elevate Ukraine's prestige internationally, and how he fought against Russian propaganda. The lecture also covered how he invested in the arts and cultural diplomacy during wartime.

The event brought together over a hundred enthusiasts of Ukrainian history and culture who are passionate about the development of Ukrainian statehood. The lecture was so well-attended that additional chairs and benches had to be brought in for the audience.

After the lecture, participants had the opportunity to engage in informal discussions, share their impressions, and ask questions. They were also invited to watch the documentary film "Shchedryk vs. the Russian World," for which Tina Peresunko served as a co-screenwriter.

Yanina Baribina mentioned that there are plans for future events to commemorate the birthday of Symon Petliura and ensure that he is remembered not only by installing a monument but also by being held in people's memories.
