Sports competitions dedicated to the Constitution Day of Ukraine held in Odesa

On June 22-23, an open championship of Odessa region in rock climbing took place at the "Skeldrom" sports base in Odessa.

The competition was dedicated to Constitution Day in Ukraine and saw the participation of 54 athletes from Odessa region. Odessa was represented in the competition by students from the Youth Sports School No. 12 and the "Odessa" alpine club.

Odessa athletes in various age groups won ten gold, eight silver, and nine bronze medals.

The athletes who achieved top positions were prepared for the competition by coaches and instructors from the Youth Sports School No. 12, including Viktor Remnyov, Svitlana Svitlichna, Oleksandra Starytska, Vira Prokopyeva, Oleksiy Krynetsky, Natalia Kopotiyenko, Oleksandr Shaparets, and Tetiana Pashaeva.

In addition to rock climbing, competitions in kayaking and canoeing were also held to mark Constitution Day at the sports base of Comprehensive Youth Sports School No. 6 in Odessa.

In the kayaking events on the 50-meter distance, K-1, Arthur Mazurenko emerged as the winner, followed by Rostislav Golovanov in second place, and Konstantin Ogolyuk in third. On the 200-meter distance, K-1, Maxim Dymov secured the top spot, with Hlib Skudilo in second place and Hlib Petryshen in third.

In the senior age group, competing on the 500-meter distance, K-1, Ivan Zhilkin claimed victory, followed by David Osadchy in second place, and Yuriy Panchenko in third.
