For the first time in Poltava region, angiography for myocardial infarction patients is in operation

A modern angiograph has been put into operation at the Lubny Intensive Care Hospital in Poltava region. This was announced by the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Lunin.

On July 13, for the first time, coronary angiography is being performed on patients who have experienced myocardial infarction using the new equipment at the Lubny Hospital. All patients are from the Lubny community.

Currently, local medical professionals, as well as experts from the Poltava Regional Cardiology Center and colleagues from the Amosov Institute, are working on the modern angiograph. The doctors underwent necessary training to operate the equipment.

The angiograph itself was acquired using state funds.

It is worth recalling that on February 28, the Ministry of Health announced that as a result of their procurement, the long-awaited interventional cardiology department would soon start operating at the Lubny Intensive Care Hospital.

Previously, the hospital, which provides specialized multidisciplinary medical care around the clock, did not have a vascular surgery department.

The Ministry of Health also reminds that in 2021, through the Medical Procurement of Ukraine upon the Ministry of Health's request, 24 stationary digital angiographic X-ray systems were procured for UAH 210 million. One of them was sent to the Lubny Intensive Care Hospital.
