In Cherkasy, children who died as a result of Russian aggression were honored

Today, June 4, in Ukraine, it is the Day of Remembrance for the children who lost their lives as a result of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. In Cherkasy and Uman, at the initiative of the First Lady, a nationwide event called "Voices of Children" took place. This event is dedicated to the memory of young Ukrainians whose lives were taken by the war. During the full-scale invasion, the cynical Russian army claimed the lives of at least 485 Ukrainian children. However, the data is not precise, as the ongoing hostilities make it impossible to accurately count. Six boys and girls were killed by a rocket in Uman, Cherkasy Oblast, as reported by the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.

Behind each number are the dreams and destinies of these children, which were cut short due to hostile ambitions. These children will no longer play on the playground, read books, sit behind a school desk, hug their loved ones, or bring joy with their achievements.

Today, in Cherkasy, people gathered in the "Youth" square to remember the innocent victims. As a symbol of the voices of the slain children, bells were hung from trees.

Relatives of the deceased were invited to the event, including Marina Pronko and her daughters. They moved from Kharkiv to Uman to escape shelling, only for the bloodthirsty war to catch up with them on April 28. These crimes have no statute of limitations, and Russia will be held accountable for them.
