The issue of bomb shelters in communities is resolved differently: some buy shipping containers, some use basements, and in the Opishnya community, they decided to build a new one. The area of the school bomb shelter is 500 square meters. It is intended to accommodate all 476 students of the lyceum, as well as the teaching staff.

"We decided to build it from scratch this summer. We are only spending money on building materials. We are doing it ourselves, our tractor is working, and we also hire a manipulator. A shelter that costs 20-30 million, we made for 2.5 million. Right now, we are drying it, we installed two stoves," says Mykola Riznyk, head of the Opishnya community, to journalists.

"We just need to equip the restrooms, the nurse's office, and furnish it. Overall, the community leadership and the administration of the educational institution were forced to make a decision to create a shelter from scratch," says Yuriy Dakhno, the director of the Opishnya Lyceum of the Opishnya Village Council, as some parents choose offline educational institutions for their children. The lyceum has 476 students, so the shelter will accommodate all students and the teaching staff.

The location was chosen in the school garden. The distance from the bomb shelter to the two buildings where junior and senior classes are taught is about 150 meters. They plan to complete the work by the end of the school year.
