On May 22, as part of the celebration of the 248th anniversary of the founding of Kryvyi Rih, a concert was held in the city featuring the chamber orchestra "Renaissance," which is represented by the Mariupol Chamber Philharmonic. The orchestra is led by the Honored Artist of Ukraine, Vasyl Kriachok. The musicians performed works from the Baroque era, as well as compositions from foreign classical composers, including Vivaldi, Mozart, Miller, Gardel, Boccherini, and the renowned Ukrainian composer Myroslav Skoryk. This information was reported on the website of the Kryvyi Rih City Council.

Deputy Mayor Serhiy Miliutin, on behalf of the city authorities, expressed his gratitude to the members of the orchestra. He emphasized that Kryvyi Rih attaches great importance to the development of both young and experienced musicians. Since the end of January, the city has reopened its art and music schools, and in March, theaters, exhibition halls, museums, and libraries resumed activities for the public.

"Today in our city, we have a wonderful gift, a concert by the Mariupol Philharmonic Orchestra. All of this will inspire our residents, 'new Kryvyi Rih residents,' and the military on Victory Day," said Serhiy Miliutin.

On behalf of the Mariupol ensemble, Vasyl Kriachok expressed gratitude to the residents of Kryvyi Rih for their warm welcome. He shared that after the full-scale invasion, the Mariupol Philharmonic Orchestra was forced to evacuate and, a year later, resumed its work in Kyiv. Under the "Unconquered Philharmonic" project, the orchestra united musicians not only from Mariupol but also from Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Severodonetsk, and Kyiv. The conductor also highlighted the support provided by the city authorities of Kryvyi Rih and the residents of Mariupol.

Over the course of two months, more than 170 diverse events took place in the city as part of the challenge festival dedicated to the 248th anniversary of Kryvyi Rih. These events included music concerts, art exhibitions, street festivals, and more. The final event will be the "City Weekends" on May 27, which coincides with the birthday of Kryvyi Rih.
