On May 14th, the call center of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Dnipro received two reports of bomb threats. In one case, it was a threat to the SBU building, the airport, and hospitals. In the other case, there were threats to courts, schools, kindergartens, subway stations, and the regional state administration building.
In total, law enforcement agencies inspected 40 objects in the first case and 176 objects in the second case. Fortunately, in both cases, the information about the bomb threats was not confirmed, and no explosive devices or dangerous items were found. The authorities did not need to involve the State Emergency Service (DSNS).
It's important to note that providing false information about mining is a criminal offense in Ukraine and can result in imprisonment for a period of four to eight years.
Additionally, it was reported that on the same day, there was an artillery shelling in Nikopol by an aggressor, resulting in a 57-year-old local resident being injured. The man was in his car during the shelling and suffered mine-explosive and open head injuries. He is currently in critical condition in the intensive care unit, and medical professionals are fighting for his life.
