In Dnipro launched an investigation into the tragedy in one of the city's hospitals, when an 11-year-old boy died after surgery

The police are investigating a case involving the improper performance of professional duties by medical workers, which resulted in serious consequences for minors. This investigation is being carried out by the 6th Police Department of the Dnipropetrovsk District Police Department under the procedural guidance of the Western District Prosecutor's Office in Dnipro.

According to the investigation, in one of the hospitals in Dnipro, four adults and five children aged 3 to 17 underwent surgical interventions. After the surgeries, several patients experienced deteriorating health and life-threatening conditions. An 11-year-old boy died in the intensive care unit on the morning of August 12th. Investigators found that all patients were administered the same medical drug. The batch number of this drug has been identified, and its use in the regional hospital network has been stopped.

The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are determining all the circumstances of the case and the involvement of the medical facility's staff. The Department of Health of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration has established a commission to examine the provision of medical care at the hospital.

It's important to note that this incident is separate from the previous case of four people who died in Odessa after consuming surrogate alcohol.
