The head of the Cherkasy Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, Oleg Veretilnyk, will be dismissed from his position. The relevant order has already been issued. According to Alina Krivosheya, the spokesperson for the regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, the process of handing over the position is currently underway, and Oleg Veretilnyk will officially step down within the next week. It is known that no violations of the law were found in his actions during the checks.

As a reminder, Ukraine is conducting an assessment of the activities and lifestyles of employees of territorial centers for recruitment and social support. This investigation began after the discovery of illegal enrichment by the former head of the Odessa Regional Recruitment Center, Yevhen Borisov.

Law enforcement agencies have compiled a database that includes 1,800 heads and deputy heads of the Territorial Centers for Recruitment. However, the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) has stated that it is challenging to conduct checks on all of them, so they are using a "risk-oriented approach" and focusing primarily on regions that, in the agency's opinion, have the highest risks.

Later, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the preliminary results of the assessment of heads of territorial centers for recruitment and social support were "unsettling."

The Office of the Prosecutor General has noted that law enforcement agencies have initiated a pre-trial investigation into the territorial centers for recruitment and social support in 11 regions. According to the investigation, they organized evasion from military service during mobilization.

On August 11, President Zelensky chaired a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, during which they reviewed information about the results of the assessment of territorial centers for recruitment and social support. The head of state announced that all heads of regional Territorial Centers for Recruitment would be dismissed.

As a result of the NSDC meeting, it was recommended to appoint officers who are directly involved in combat operations to the positions of heads of regional Territorial Centers for Recruitment, but only after they have undergone checks by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). The Office of the Prosecutor General, in collaboration with the NAPC and the State Bureau of Investigations (DBR), was tasked with taking additional measures to counter corruption by officials.
