Zelensky announced the dismissal of all regional "military committees"

In Ukraine, all regional military recruitment officers("voinkoms") will be relieved of their duties. This decision was made during today's meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, as announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

The reason for this decision was the results of the inspection of military commissars. A total of 112 criminal proceedings have already been initiated against them, and 33 suspicions have been issued.

"Regional 'vоіnкоm' officials, city, district, and military enlistment office staff, and other officials... Abuse in various regions: Donetsk, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Kyiv, Lviv... Some took cash, some took cryptocurrency. The only difference is the same cynicism everywhere. Our decision is clear. We are relieving all regional 'vоіnкоms' officials of their positions. This system needs to be managed by individuals who truly understand what war is and why cynicism and bribery during wartime amount to treason. Soldiers who have experienced the frontlines or those who cannot be in the trenches due to injuries, limb loss, but who have preserved their dignity and lack cynicism – they are the ones we can entrust with the recruitment system," stated Zelensky.

The execution of this decision will be carried out by Head of the Armed Forces Enlistment Office, Major General Zaluzhnyi. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) will conduct background checks before appointing new heads of territorial centers for conscription (TCC). Each military commissar who is subject to criminal proceedings will be held accountable.

It's worth mentioning that employees of the State Bureau of Investigations in Poltava region have reported suspicion to the head of one of the district units of the territorial center for conscription and social support.

Additionally, the SBU exposed a military official in Odesa who demanded kickbacks for barracks repairs.

The SBU detained a military accountant in Odesa who embezzled over 10 million hryvnias.

A bail of 150 million hryvnias was set: the court arrested the former Odesa military commissar Borisov.
