In Dnipropetrovsk region, the first newly built section of the main water pipeline has been launched. It connects the Ingulets River with the Southern Reservoir. The length of the new section is 27 kilometers, and the construction work lasted for 76 days. This project, in terms of construction pace, length of the pipes laid, and pump capacity, has been realized for the first time in Ukraine's history since its independence.
The project solves the problem of water supply for the residents of Kryvyi Rih. It has been fully funded by the state through the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Russian Aggression.
Following the first section, three more will be laid as they are needed to supply water not only to the city but also to the communities of the Kryvorizhskyi district. Once all the pipelines are completed, they will be able to pump 400,000 cubic meters of water daily.
This pipeline is part of a large-scale main water supply system designed to provide water to the regions affected by the explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant dam by Russian occupiers. Among these regions are the communities of the Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih districts in Dnipropetrovsk region.
Part of the equipment used in the project was imported from abroad, including from Poland, Austria, and Turkey. The entire water supply system will have a length of 300 kilometers, and it is planned to be completed in October.
Recall that earlier, the consequences of the explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant were shown on the internet.
