A stage of the Ukrainian Country Cross Championship was held in Znamenka, Kirovohrad region

In the city of Znamianka, located in the Kirovohrad region, the third stage of the Ukrainian Cross-Country Championship took place. The event was organized and conducted by the public organization "Quadro Ukraine" with the support of Znamianka's Mayor, Volodymyr Sokyrka, and the Head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, Andriy Raikovych. A total of 28 athletes from various regions of Ukraine participated in the races of the 3rd stage of the championship. On the same day in Znamianka, a charitable fair called "Generous Saturday" was held in the square near the city's Palace of Culture. It managed to raise over 10,000 hryvnias, which will be used to purchase a vehicle for the 65th Brigade. In addition, the entry fees of the championship participants and donations from the audience will be directed towards acquiring DJI Mavic 3 quadcopters, which will be handed over to the military reconnaissance of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

After the completion of the championship stage, Volodymyr Sokyrka, along with the prize-winning participants, including Maxim Kovalov, and other cross-country runners, laid flowers at the Memorial Board and paid tribute with a moment of silence to the memory of all the fallen Heroes and defenders of Ukraine.

Previously, we also reported that in a village in the Kirovohrad region, a renovated stadium was opened in honor of the fallen Ukrainian defender Valeriy Kovalchuk. During the opening, the relatives of the fallen defender expressed their gratitude for the active participation of teachers and students from the Inhulke Lyceum, employees of the village council, and residents of the community in improving the stadium's territory. After the solemn opening of the stadium, a football tournament dedicated to the memory of Valeriy Kovalchuk was held on the field.
