In the Kirovohrad region, in the Ustynivska community, a stadium has been renovated and named in honor of the fallen warrior-defender Valeriy Kovalchuk. The opening of the renovated stadium took place in the village of Inhulke, Kropyvnytskyi district. The repair work for the stadium was financed by the wife of the late Hero, Yana Kovalchuk. This information is reported on the Facebook page of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration.
During the opening, the relatives of the fallen Ukrainian defender expressed their gratitude for the active involvement of teachers and students from the Inhulke Lyceum, employees of the village council, and the residents of the community in the improvement of the stadium area. After the solemn opening of the stadium, a blessing ceremony was held. Following that, an open football tournament dedicated to the memory of Valeriy Kovalchuk was played on the field.

In the 4x100m medley relay, Irina Tereshchenko and Daria Tarasenko, as part of the Ukrainian team, also secured gold medals. Representatives from the Kirovohrad region also won 33 medals at the canoeing and kayaking championship.
