New installation to honor fallen defenders opened in Cherkasy region

On August 23rd, in the Cherkasy region, the central square of Uman became the site for the unveiling of a new installation. This installation was set up to honor Ukrainian defenders who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Ukraine. This information was provided by the Uman City Council's press service. A new composition featuring photos of fallen soldiers has appeared on the central square of Uman. It serves as a tribute to the memory of these soldiers who were part of the local community. These natives of the city lost their lives while defending Ukraine from the aggression of the Russian Federation, which has been ongoing since 2014.

"We call on every member of the community to come to the square and look into the eyes of our defenders in the light. Remember the price at which our Independence is won. We thank every defender who, at the cost of their own lives, defends our Ukraine," the city council's message stated.

It's worth mentioning that in Vinnytsia region, an exhibition titled "Come back alive. I'm waiting for you" was opened. The exhibition features 15 photos of the wives of Ukrainian defenders who are currently defending our state against the Russian enemy. All the photographs were taken in 2022, and the locations for the photos were chosen by the participants themselves. Additionally, their photos were taken free of charge, with a total of 12 photoshoot sessions conducted.
